Review Black Mountain Par-3 Course, Hua Hin, Thailand

The Blackmountain 3-par golf course in impeccable condition was the target of our challenge today. I am a handicap 11 and my friends are 16 and 34. Open just for a couple of weeks, there was nobody playing when we arrive at 9AM. A very unusual pictures for the rather fully booked golf courses in the Hua Hin area in this time of the year. We paid for the green fee for 2 rounds, so 18 holes, 900 Bath. A caddy is for once not mandatory and would cost another 300 Bath with an expected tip at the end of minimum 200 Bath. Since we are spoiled in Thailand and are so used to have a caddy, it would feel strange not to have. Further I did not know the course at all and a caddy is in this respect as well quite useful. So the decision was rapidly taken that we like to keep our comfort and standard. 3 caddies got ordered from the golf club to come to the new Par 3 golf course. Arriving on the first tee box, we notice that there are still 3 starts, one for women, another for men and the last for professionals. Distance gets measured daily by laser to the pin, near the tee box for professionals. The other have to guess or measure with their own steps or to believe in the caddy’s announcement.
more to come ...
